Compensation Expectation:  $60/ hour

The Role of Data Analyst
As the Data Analyst, you will be within the Data and Analytics organization, the Data and BI teams are undergoing a data modernization effort to create a modern enterprise data platform.

The Data Analyst will be a member of this transformation by working with a small team of business analysts and other data analysts to review and analyze the current legacy data platform and assist with the requirements the new data platform from a BI, reporting and analytic perspective.
  • Analyze current legacy data and reporting, including KPIs and other metrics, to understand the new data platform requirements
  • Assess options for process improvement, including business process modeling
  • Create and maintain documentation around existing metrics, reports, and data mappings.
  • Validate and QA the new data warehouse data to ensure it is able to be used effectively in the new semantic layer

Knowledge & Experience
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst
  • 3+ years’ experience using SQL to query and analyze data
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with key stakeholders to support the creation of the semantic layer
  • Experience testing and mapping various business processes, reporting, analytic use cases and databases
  • Working knowledge of Power BI
  • Ability to operate independently and successfully in a fast-paced environment
  • Superior communication skills both oral and written
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, or related discipline.

Preferred Experience
  • 5+ years’ experience using SQL to query and analyze data
  • Proficiency in Power BI
  • Proficient in version control and relational databases
  • Master’s degree in computer science, statistics, or related discipline
