Compensation Expectation: $70 – 90/hr
What You’ll Do As a Data Product Manager:
- Platform Strategy & Roadmap: Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the data platform based on business priorities, technical scalability, and security requirements. Create user stories, bugs, and tasks to accomplish the initiatives
- Platform Optimization: Work closely with the data team to design and implement new features. Identify opportunities to automate tasks, leverage technology and streamline the delivery of data. Identify and mitigate risk and ensure controls are in place throughout the data delivery lifecycle. Lead initiatives to improve governance, security, efficient data processing, costs and CI/CD.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as a liaison between engineering (system and data), business units and executive leadership. Maintain alignment with other product managers across the organization. Analyze feedback from users to improve our platform offerings.
- Product Oversight: Oversee the lifecycle of platform development, from concept to deployment, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical specifications.
- Collaboration: Work closely with executive leadership, data scientists, engineers, and analysts to ensure accurate data collection, modeling, and insights generation, while maintaining strong partnerships across various teams.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with key software vendors, such as Databricks, and overseeing the consultants team to ensure projects are delivered successfully
- Systems Integration: Product lead the evaluation, integration, and deployment of new data systems, including Alation, Tableau Cloud, Dataiku, SecuiPi, Immuta, Neo4j, as well as internally developed applications
Qualifications:
You could be a great fit if you have:
- 7+ years of experience in the data technology industry, primarily in roles focused on data engagement—from interpreting data to its precise application for business objectives.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Product Manager, Data Analyst, or similar role in a data-driven environment.
- Experience with data: statistics, data cleansing, data wrangling. Scripting languages (i.e. Python, R) and big data technologies (i.e. Databricks, Snowflake) are a huge plus
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data architecture, and data warehousing principles.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) and analytics platforms.
