The Role of Data Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and systems that support business operations and analytics. The ideal candidate will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to improve data quality, streamline processes, and ensure that data systems are efficient, reliable, and scalable.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and integrations across multiple platforms
- Work extensively with SQL to query, transform, and optimize large and complex datasets
- Integrate and manage data from systems such as NetSuite, Salesforce, and other business applications
- Develop data solutions using Python for automation, transformation, and data processing
- Build and maintain cloud-based data infrastructure leveraging Microsoft Azure
- Analyze and interpret complex data strings and structures to ensure data accuracy and usability
- Clean, standardize, and optimize existing databases to improve performance and reliability
- Identify inefficiencies in current data workflows and create improved, scalable processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable solutions
- Ensure data integrity, security, and best practices in data governance
Knowledge & Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience as a Data Engineer
- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database design
- Hands-on experience with Python for data engineering or automation tasks
- Experience working with NetSuite and Salesforce data (APIs, integrations, or reporting)
- Familiarity with Azure data services and cloud-based architectures
- Strong ability to understand and work with complex data structures and data strings
- Experience cleaning, refactoring, and optimizing existing databases
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process-improvement skills
- Proactive and the ability to work in fluid situations.
- Adaptable and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, or related field.
