Compensation Expectation: $45 – 60/hr
What You’ll Do As a Sr Design Ops Manager:
- Develop and improve DesignOps processes for effective throughput across teams & broader workstreams
- Maintain processes that streamline processes such as work intake for new projects, prioritization, roadmapping & forecasting, and tracking design and content debt across our LOBs and horizontal teams
- Identify design team needs with regards to process, tools, documentation, asset management, etc. Partner with other DesignOps team members to drive changes to make sure designers can be efficient and successful.
- Manage the activities of large or strategically important design efforts be an active advisor for multiple teams
- Own Product Design & Creative team’s resourcing, tracking designer allocation and product design health for your assigned portfolio.
- Manage communication from working teams up to design leadership, and outward to cross[1]functional partners
- Act as strategic point-of-contact for design management team, partner with them in gathering project requirements, providing estimations, tracking action items, and affirming commitments by our partners outside design.
- Maintain metrics that help gauge the impact and health of the design team.
- Ensure the design teams in all locations are in collaboration with one another and all working towards a consistent goal throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support a strong design community through events, routines, and practices that amplify the voice of design
Qualifications:
You could be a great fit if you have:

- 5+ years of related experience, preferably in a DesignOps role
- Skilled with project management tools, including JIRA and Smartsheets. Your expertise is not only in how to use them but in how to build out systems
- Skilled in excel and Tableau
- Experience in user-centered design process, methodologies, and standards
- Ability to interact with a diverse set of technical and non-technical partners
- Skilled at influencing and relationship building across a highly matrixed organization
- Experience working within technical and engineering organizations and keeping them updated on design progress
- Demonstrated proactiveness in operational improvements within and outside of your team
- Ability to multitask, analyze opportunities, define successful approaches, and tackle problems
- Familiarity with design tools, process, and technologies
